Finally Coming Together

After months of searching for a job within the education field, I finally got a job working as the Administrative Assistant for California Business Property Association. As I discussed in my previous post, this job was due to being a Delta Gamma. I am incredibly blessed to be a Delta Gamma. Years ago, I remember sitting in the DG suite and hearing all the great things DG can do for me. In the back of my mind, I thought there's no way but it sounds like a great group of ladies. I then used those same lines of "DG is for life" and "No matter where you go, DG will be there" during recruitment not truly believing what I was saying. Now years later, I not only believe it, I live it. Delta Gamma is for life and DG will always be there no matter where you go.

Adam is in Knoxville finishing his Executive MBA. I am here finishing up things and will fly out next week to visit my family and friends in Memphis then head to see Adam walk across that stage. This past year has been one heck of a year. We went from being settled in Indiana and content to the point of deciding to start a family to moving across country, me quitting my job, and trying to buy a short sale, which failed miserably. As 2011 is coming to an end, things are finally coming together. We will close on our new house in 2 weeks, Adam will have his EMBA, and I will be anticipating my new amazing job. Despite at times wondering if we would ever make it through all of this, I feel confident in the decisions we have made. There are new opportunities ahead and I look forward to what the future holds.
