Update...
It has been some time since I have posted! Let's update y'all on our West Coast life!!
Adam is traveling non-stop. He is home on the weekends but during the week, I have started counting him gone regardless of his schedule. He is starting to settle in to his new position quite nicely.
As for me...where do we begin!?! I consider myself to be a single wife these days with all of the traveling that Adam does. Despite this, I have found a ton of friends through the Delta Gamma Alumnae Chapter. After stepping up and accepting a position on the board, my calendar has become filled with DG this and DG that.
I accepted a position working as an administrative assistant at a lobbyist group. When I was struggling to find a job and it became apparent that I'd have to switch career paths, I told Adam that I wanted a job where I could wear cute clothes and heels. I am now eating my words. I do wear cute clothes and heels. However my duties have been lowered to feeding the meter for my boss's car or carrying his briefcase upstairs. There are moments that I want to scream, "I have a master's degree!!!" How did I go from teaching in a school where visitors came from all over to see how amazing we were to this?? I have completely abandoned all I've ever worked to achieve to do this. Adam is furious and wants to to find a new job immediately. Of course, I am too nice and can't do that. Now what to do...
On to the puppies! Tucker is a monster as always as he eats me out of house and home. Otis is recovering well from being hit by a car. In addition, he is undergoing heart worm treatment which is not fun at all!! The boys are the one thing I can count on when I wake up every morning and when I open the door in the evenings. They even know when Adam is out of town that they can sleep in the bed with me!! I love them so very much and am so thankful both are healthy and doing well.
Upcoming we have a Mardi Gras party to share some Southern traditions with our West Coast friends! I will post pictures soon!!!
